Renewing Your Expired Metrobank Prepaid Card

If you have a "Metrobank Prepaid Card" and it has already expired, to be able to use it again you need to renew this card. There is no need to apply for a new one. My metrobank prepaid card has recently expired in April 2016. This card is very helpful because this is what I used when I buy or pay for something online. It is also the card that I link and used on my paypal account.

It took me 7 months to finally be able to renew it. I was looking for information on the web on how I can renew this card but haven't found any. Recently, I went to the bank to finally renew my metrobank prepaid card and here I will share what I did and what happened. Below are the steps in renewing your metrobank debit or prepaid card:

It's The Easier Way To Pay.
===================================================================

1. Go to the metrobank branch where you first opened your metrobank prepaid card account.

2. In the new accounts area or department, tell the person in charge that you want to apply for a renewal of your expired prepaid card.

3. The person in charge will ask for your old metrobank prepaid card, so you need to bring it with you as well. He/She will look at it and get a new application form that he/she will fill up to process the renewal of your card. He/She will also ask for one valid ID. You can photocopy one valid ID just to make sure that when the person in charge will ask for a photocopy of the ID, you can present it immediately and not have to go out of the bank to photocopy your ID, you can never be sure if they have a photocopy machine in the branch you are renewing your card or not. In my case, the branch where I renewed my card have their own photocopy machine so they just photocopy the ID for me.

4. There is a charge of Php 150.00 for the renewal of your metrobank prepaid card. The person in charge will ask you a few questions with regards to your account (like your date of birth & address) for verification.

5. You can just wait and get the new card after a couple of minutes. After everything is processed, you will now get your new card with a new card number and a temporary PIN number that you can later change in the ATM machine. Your account number from the first and previous account remains the same.

So there you go, that is how to renew your expired metrobank prepaid card. It is very quick, all you need to bring is a valid ID, photocopy of the valid ID, the expired metrobank prepaid card and a fee of Php150.00. I hope this post was helpful. Thank you so much for viewing and reading.
